In the Neighbourhood Patterns dataset what exactly is interpreted as a stop? If an individual just kept walking around a single CBG without ever leaving it would that only be a single “stop”? But if they exited the CBG briefly and then re-entered it would become 2 stops? Or each time they stay for longer than a minute within a small area within a CBG this counts as a stop ie if they visit 3 stores each a block apart they have made 3 stops in the CBG so that the Neighborhood Patterns data is equivalent to aggregating POI data up to the CBG level?

Off the top of my head, I believe there needs to be a visit in that block to count as a stop - here is a white paper on visits that might clear some of that process up

With that being said, I believe each stop in the CBG is only counted as 1 if it is within that day - it is important to note that home CBGs are counted among the visits - @Lauren_Spiegel_SafeGraph could confirm / speak more on the methodology I believe
