I just learned that the Safegraph API for the patterns dataset for non-live uses has been retired as of July 15th. Is there any way to have some sort of access to the API or an easier way to get week by week device count data for NYC?
My research team and I are working on a series of COVID recovery analysis papers that relies on it to build out week-by-week time series of a recovery metric (example here).
We realized that a lot of the NYC counts were retroactively adjusted and it’s causing a really large jump in the time series data. We’re currently working with reporters to have this study published in Toronto, San Francisco, and San Jose. We’d love to give SG as shoutout as well! but we really need help to quickly get the NYC device counts.
