Geographic coverage of academic places data

What is the geographic coverage of the Places data for academics?

We are based in Sweden and would like to use Places data for Sweden in our research. I can see this is part of the global data set, is it also available to academics?

@jorge.gil The coverage is only for the US, Canada, and UK.
