Anyone used the Social Distancing Metrics to re-create the daily county-level summary measures shown in the Shelter in Place dashboard?

Hi – has anyone used the Social Distancing Metrics to re-create the daily county-level summary measures shown in the Shelter in Place dashboard? @Ryan_Fox_Squire_SafeGraph noted that the daily county-level summary measures behind the dashboard aren’t available as a simple download. Those summary measures can be re-created from the block-group-level files – but rather than duplicate work that SafeGraph and others have already done (and perhaps end up introducing my own errors!), I wanted to see if anyone has already replicated the daily county-level summary dashboard measures. Thank you!

Here are precise details on how we make them if anyone wants to try to re-create

a very simple first pass is to create a new column county_fips based on first 5 digits of CBG FIPS, then sum completely_at_home_device_count and device_count for each county, and then divide them to get a fraction_completely_at_home.

the only diff between that and what we do on the dashboard is that the dashboard uses a bayesian hiearchical model to partially pool data across counties in the same state to reduce the variability of the estimates.
