Hello, is there a verification data set that I can use to determine if I have correctly scaled up daily raw visit counts for a particular POI (or other subset of data)?

There isn’t one available; in general this would rely on external data relevant to the particular application you’re using (and if we had general-application verification data we wouldn’t need the cell phone stuff!). I have in the past used events or locations with publicly available attendance records or average visitor counts to scale against, for example NFL games for exact visitor counts (although SafeGraph counts get a little noisy for huge events), or Starbucks for average visit counts.

thanks for the tips, @Nick_H-K_Seattle_University! This is helpful. Can you point me in the direction of a reference for average Starbucks visit counts?

I reference it here Calculating Absolute Visit Counts in SafeGraph Data

perfect. Thanks again for your help!
