I am familiar with Globus. It is NOT possible to download data in S3 with Globus. Globus online works by connecting two Globus “endpoints”, one of which acts as a data provider and the other acts as the consumer. The “endpoints” must be running a server process and configured to serve data. While Globus endpoints can be configured to serve S3 data, the endpoint (which runs on a linux box) would have to be set up, configured, and maintained.
