Hi, has anyone tried to compute the R_t over time on the county level? rt.live has the calculations over the state level and I am trying to run their code for each county. So far I have the daily positive cases from US COVID-19 cases and deaths by state | USAFacts, but I also need the daily number of tests - does anyone know where I can get this? \

Have you seen the work by covidactnow.org? They have estimates for R_t for each county.

Lots of the data they are using comes from covidcountydata.org (disclaimer, I’m involved in the project). We have county level test data for about 50% of the US population. There’s lots of gaps in what is reported, but we’re collecting a lot of what is out there. If you have particular geographies that you’re interested in and see an official source for, please don’t hesitate to ping us.
