Anyone have a sense of what I’m doing wrong … or if this is true?

I’m getting some very strange results regarding the census data on race/ethnicity. I’m looking at
• B03003e1 as pop
• B03003e2 as not_hispanic
• B03003e3 as hispanic
• hispanic/pop as pct_hispanic
But I’m finding that primarily Hispanic/Latino CBGs have LOWER going out rates than those that are largely made up of other ethnic groups. This makes absolutely no sense to me. Especially given that the primarily Hispanic CBGs have lower median incomes and separately, I’ve found that lower median income tracks with higher going out rates. Anyone have a sense of what I’m doing wrong … or if this is true?

@Andrea_Fuller_Wall_Street_Journal Can I see your code? I might be able to help.

Sure will send!
