A major update to the Unified COVID-19 Dataset

All,
A major update to the Unified COVID-19 Dataset has been released. It’s been completely restructured at 4 admin levels (NUTS 0-3 in Europe and country/state/county/district otherwise) globally with more compact variable names and a unique geographic ID and LUT.
Best,
Hamada

Hamada - This is a great contribution, thank you. A couple of questions:

  1. Do you plan to update this data set daily?
  2. How would you recommend getting time-stamped versions of these files? (E.g. to create trend lines for cases and deaths by country).

@Mike_Driscoll_Rill_Data Thanks!

  1. Yes.
  2. There’s a column for “Date” that you can use to plot timeseries per case type and source at any level. The age group and sex columns are aggregated totals for now but future releases will have more details. So, use the latest RData file and filter/group the data by Type, Age, Sex, Source, and Level.

OK thanks Hamada - I’ll take a look!

You’re welcome. Please let me know if you’ve any questions.
